Chapter 1

It was quiet for a few seconds until a building exploded. It turned out to be a home and one bright red fox was luckily alive. She screamed "Help! Someone please! Help!" She tried finding her way out of the burning building to make it to safety. She fell to hers knees as she saw she couldn't find an exit."

On the great fox the Star fox team was patrolling Courina. Fox was sitting silently in a chair until he heard a voice. He said "Hey Falco did you say anything?" Falco stared at him as he said "No I didn't. You must be hearing things." Just then Fox heard the voice again and that's when he realized he's hearing it inside of his head.

The voice said "Please help me! I'm trapped inside a burning building! Please help I... I don't how long I can last *cough cough* Please help me!" Fox leaped out of his chair and ran to an arwing. Slippy asked "Fox where are going." Fox answered "A girl contacted using telepathy. She trapped in a burning building and needs help fast!"

Fox took off in the arwing and begin scanning the area until finally there he saw the burning building. Fox quickly ran inside to see if he could find the fox. Meanwhile she tried to find another way out but tragedy struck when some of the ceiling collapsed, crashing onto her head which knocked her unconscious.

But luckily just in time Fox found the red fox. He scooped her up in his arms and quickly made his way out of the building. The fox slightly opened her eyes to see she had been saved but fell unconscious again.When she woke up there was bandages around her head and she was on a medical bed.

She looked around and saw Fox just now came into the room. He said "So you finally woke up. That was quite a bash to the head you received. I'm Fox McCould of the Star Fox team. What's your name?" The fox rubbed her head as she said "I'm Starfire. I went to the academy to be a pilot."

Fox slightly grinned as he said "Maybe you can become part of the Star Fox team once your head is better." Star Fox instantly hugged Fox yelling "Thank you thank you thank you!"

Chapter 2

Months passed and Starfire enjoyed being on the team. Except the fact that Peppy Hare whom is the general now wouldn't let her go on any missions. Starfire leaned her bed upside down. Starfire sighed and all of the sudden she said "Nuxoi toi lel."

Fox and Krystal happen to be walking by her room when she said that. Fox asked "Krystal did say something in what I think she said it in." Krystal nodded toward Fox as she said "Yes Fox. She indeed spoke in Cererain."

Fox turned around to see Starfire leaving her room. Krystal's eyes then grew as she said "Fox was I the first cererian to join the team?" Fox ran to a computer and looked up "Previous Star Fox Team Members"

Fox looked up names until he found one. He yelled "I got it! Her name is Catherine and she served in the Star Fox team for three years. She married a Courain named Aaron. She died while on an unauthorized mission. They never did find out who killed her."

Krystal looked at wher Starfire walked off and said "So that means she half cererian. But why did she not tell us her mother was once on the team?" Just then a voice said "Cause I wanted no one to figure I was trying to find her killer."

Fox and Krystal turned around to see Starfire right behind. She pulled off her finger less glove to reveal a cererain birth mark. Starfire slipped back on the glove as she said "Tell no one of what you know." Fox and Krystal nodded toward Starfire agreeing to the promise.

Later that night Starfire was asleep until she heard a voice in her head. It said "Please help. It's urgent you travel to Sauria and go to the krozoa palace now! I'll explain things there!" Starfire thought about telling Fox but then she decided she would check it out herself.

Chapter 3

Starfire got in the arwing and heading for where the distress signal was coming from. Starfire checked the maps and was surprised where it was coming from. The distress signal surprisingly was coming from the Krozoa palace on the planet Sauria. Starfire landed the arwing and took a good look around.

Just then a voice said "Are you a cerarian?" Starfire heard the voice came from behind. She turned around slowly to see a young black colored fox. Starfire replied "I'm only half cerarian. My name is Starfire and I'm a pilot of the Star Fox team." The black fox said "My name is Night. I come from the Black Sky Tribe." as he walked up to her slowly.

Night continued "A mysterious enemy threatens to kill my tribe. Only the power of the krozoa spirits can save my tribe. Luckily even half cerarians can control this power. That's why you must help me." Starfire remembered how painful it was when her entire family was killed. Starfire turned to Night and said "What do I need to do to help you." Night smiled at Starfire in relief.

He pointed to the entrance to the palace and said "Go pass the spirit's test and it'll become your own. Once you do that return here for further instructions." Starfire nodded and walked through the entrance. She made her way through many rooms until she entered an empty room. There Starfire saw before her was the first Krozoa spirit awaiting for her to take it's test.

The spirit said "Pass the test of fear and I'll become yours. Only the bravest of hearts may claim me as ther own." Starfire saw the background began to change and instantly she was back at the explosion that Fox rescued her from. Starfire kept calm trying not to let fear enter her heart.

Starfire then saw a figure approaching through the flames. She could not make him out but he was carrying a laser gun. Starfire heart started racing as she thought "Could this be the illusion of the person that killed my mother?" Starfire knew fear was starting to enter and she couldn't let that happen.

The person lifted his gun ready to shoot. Starfire began breathing harder still trying to remain calm. As soon as he pulled the trigger Starfire shut her eyes tightly still remembering to not let fear conquer her. Starfire instantly opened her eyes to see the figure and explosion gone. She sighed in relief knowing she has passed the test.

The spirit came out of it's portal and flew into Starfire. She watched herself float up as a purple auroa surrounded her. When she landed she saw her purple eyes and knew the spirit was in her body. Starfire reached the entrance she came in as she yelled "Night I got it. I got the..."

Starfire saw a gray wolf with a blaster and he had his arm around Night's neck. Starfire knew who this was. She knew he was Wolf O Donnell, the leader of the Star Wolf team. Starfire began to reach for her laser gun but before she could react Wolf tossed Night to the side and blasted her with his blaster.

The blast was so powerful that it sent Starfire screaming as she flew into the next room. Her head hit the wall and knocked her out. Wolf leaned over her and took her laser gun away. Wolf shook his head and said "Another pathetic Star Fox pilot. Even worse than your mother Cathrine."

Chapter 4

Starfire began to wake up from her extreme hit. She chacked for her blaster and she saw it was gone. But then she noticed she was no longer at the krozoa palace. She was in somekind of small room where the only exit was sealed with a force feild. Starfire got up off the floor taking a look around.

All of the she heard a low, deep laugh. Starfire turned around and there was Wolf standing outside of the cell. Instantly she gritted and clenched her hand into a fist. "What do you want?" she growled. Wolf laughed once again and said "You're name does describe you. Your spirit is like a raging flame. A flame I want." Starfire backed up a bit and asked "What do you mean?"

Wolf said with a grin "I know you're on the Star Fox team but I offer this. Join my team and I promise you great things." Starfire clenched her fist tighter. Before she could say anything Wolf said "Before you make that decision I'll give you an example of someone who turned me down. Your mother." Starfire gasped as she fell back a bit. She now knows Wolf killed her mother.

Wolf continued "She turned down my offer when I asked her and she suffered the price. She went to the planet Venom to make sure it was not a trap. When she found out it was a trap that Andross set up for the Star Fox team that's where I killed her. The blast made contact with her chest. The last thing she saw was me standing over her body."

Starfire bit her lip so hard it began to bleed. She screamed out as she hit the forcefeild with her fist. "I will never join you. You killed my mother." Wolf smirked "Don't worry I know your type. You'll come." Wolf left the cell leaving Starfire alone.

Chapter 5

Night woke up trying to remember what happened. First thing he knew he was waiting for Starfire to get the krozoa spirit and next thing he knew he was ambushed by someone. As he got up to look around he realized he was in his village. His village was far away in the Snow Mountains. Even farther than the Snow Tribe village.

Just then a black female fox walked in. She wore a long silver dress with a veil across her shoulders that reached the floor. Upon her was a crown made from silver colored twigs and in the center of it was an ice crystal. She carried a long wooden staff with a wood craved moon dangling from it. Her black tail and long black hair was wrapped with grass blades. Under her left eye was a white star symbol.

"Night I thought I told you never to go to the Krozoa Palace. You know it dangerous." she said with a soft yet stern voice. Night with a sigh replied "But elder I was trying to save our village. I knew if I brought the krozoas to our sacred shrine they would save us from this mysterious threat."

The elder set down next to Night. "My dear son I know you want to protect our tribe when I pass this staff to you when you are elder but some things we can't control. We must care for those we love." Just then Night's eyes flashed wide open. "Starfire! He must've have taken her!" he said in a panicked voice.

His mother placed her hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down. "Whom is Starfire?" she asked. Night lowered his head and answered "A girl that if she gets hurt I'll never forgive myself." Tears streaked down Night's face as he blamed himself for Starfire getting captured. The elder stood up and looked sadly at her son. "Night..." she started "I knew this Starfire's mother a long time ago when she was still alive."

Night looked up toward the black fox surprised to these words. "She left her Cearian staff in a cave not far from here. She told me when the time was right the staff shall go to it's new owner and that's Starfire. Get the staff and it shall lead you to her." Night got up and hugged his mother. Before he left the tent he turned to her and said "Mother I promise I will save our tribe." With that Night left on his way to the cave.

"I promise Starfire I will find you. I love you too much for something terrible to happen to you."
