Robotnik's up to his old schemes, which by now are getting rather old indeed. As you might have expected he's captured a load of fluffy wuffy fellows and turned them into organic components for his latest batch of cyberific warriors.

This time though Sonic has to navigate his way through the electric Egg Zone - Robotnik's toughest base yet. Will Sonic survive? Baring in mind the current year, safe bet is 'yes'.
