#042: The Chosen One
Plot comic ho! Yeah, at last we get back to the main plot with some devious political playmaking. Yes, you read right - political. (Don't worry, it'll all be clear).

I'll know I'm getting a little behind on the comic notes so I'll be sure to add the last three comics worth as soon as I can, that and change up the slash page sliders: Photoshop is history on my SEGA laptop atm, and that is what has my 'master' copy of SW on, which is annoying. I've had to rush the ruddy thing up, so I think everyting is accounted for with the archive. Let me know if not, naturally.

Life Would Be Simple In The Forest Except For: Blazey Sneer...
I'm sure you all know about the story that was on Sonic News recently about the image - since removed - on Sonic Yoda apparently confirming everyone's favourite "I'm a miserable bitch" cat in Sonic Rush Adventure and also what appears to be a new raccoon-based character.

I am accepting nominatons on likely names for the striped one: I'll read out the full list on the next RR. Feel free to email them to me or comment on this post. Whilst there is also a new Shadow Depository update for you, with an unknown Riders wallpaper up in three sizes. 1024, 1200 and 1600. I say it is unknown as Sonic Style which has by far and away the best collection of wallpapers on the net DOESN'T have it. Woot. There is also a new blog on the Barbed Wire Halo.

Edit 25/04 - Hey guys, another small little update has occured and the new FAQ page is up. Don't forget, May is coming up and that means the SWA is creeping up on everyone. There'll be more information on this soon.

New Bio: Knuckles The Echidna & More...
Righto, so I hope you've had a nice weekend and a Happy St.George's Day to you (with belated header). Crikey! SW hasn't updated in over 4 days, well, we can't be having that now can we? There won't be much in the way of mp3s for the next couple of weeks, mainly wallpapers and misc things as i am home from SEGA for that period of time.

Yeah I'm back there in two weeks to continue my workings but at a different location so I'm using this time to get things up to speed and get some things ready again for my work period. It is allowing me for instance to get together the pages for the MP3 and also sort out all the stuff I acquired when I had a broadband connection. Lol.

Tomorrow or Weds you should get a previously not-available-on-the-community wallpapers download and I'll be working on the next PLOT comic soon enough *gets deafened by the cheers* but for now at least here's another cast bio for you to read - and it's LONG.

So, check out the cast page to read: "Blood, Jewels & Duty: The Knuckles The Echidna Story".

#205: Room 101: T-Bird (Pt 2) - Birdiana Tuff & The Ring of Death
The next episode of Radio Redux has gone online! Find out T-Bird's (who has just succeeded in gaining Japanese employment, congrats) final Room 101 nominations as well as how to get from The Colorado Potato Beetle to Sonic in six steps.

Talk turns to all manner of things as normal and touches on Mighty, Scientology, 2D/3D and more, plus of course the traditional groovy music selection.

It's a 3hr show, so enjoy!

Sonic Rush Adventure Confirmed
At 4:00pm UK time SEGA announced via press release the confirmation of a sequel to Sonic Rush, namely Sonic Rush Adventure. The game recently came under suspicion after a patent application was found by an eagle-eyed member of the SSMB.

With this out of the way I can at last confirm it's existance. You can find the press release sent in the press release section (within Misc) of the Shadow Depository.

Radio Shadow Redux Depository!?!
Good morning, good morning, it's great to stay up late... which is a pity as it's 9:30am. Yeah, I've already been up 4.5 hrs. Heh... But the main thing is that there is a major update of mp3 files, I say mp3 files as although most are music some are not. The Radio Redux media section has had the very first advert - 'Radio Redux Rocks' and the most recent advert 'World of Snorecraft' added to it. Not only that but I've added the end of season one ensemble "song" (I was SO ill...) Wrecks Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas?

Plus fans of the Wrecks Factor will be pleased/horrified that I have added the MAXIMUM quality version of Dreadknux's "Dread's Dreads" plus his first attempt at the song and sound test as well as Roareye's three test runs. Warning! Explcit Joscelynes.

The old SONIC The Hedgehog page in the Shadow Depository music section is goooone; replaced with a proper page specifically for the Several Wills album. It also includes the other vocal tracks (such as both English and Japanese versions of Sweet Sweet Sweet) and what we currently have of the K-Klub remix of Dreams of an Absolution.

STILL not satisfied? Psssh... What do I have to do for you peeps? Okay... i've made a fix to the press release page - and how about the Virtual Sonic album, all five tracks off of Right Said Fred's Wonderman and the full soundtrack of Dr.Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine?

IT'S A SONICY MUSIC MADHOUSE I TELLS YA!

Edit: Okay... last update today for stuff. The latest Sonic Channel wallpaper has gone up - and it's a battle-tastic throwback with new art for Emerl!

What Light From Yonder Laser Breaks?
Deviantart fans beware! Sonic super-fan T-Bird has descended upon your domain like a ravenous vulture... with lions for feet. Check out his fang-tastic (nack-tastic is other countries) Mecha Sonic model that he has created with his own two wings... seriously. It rocks more than a Brighton posse at a metal concert in Gibraltar.

As Promised.... & More!
Those three soundtracks mentioned earlier are now online.

EDIT: Aren't I nice... I've added another soundtrack! It's the Sonic The Hedgehog Remix CD, which is kind of based around Sonic CD. But it has the infamous Dr. Gigglyman track and the rest. We also have track 5 - "8th Space", which is missing from Fastfeet Media.

AAUK Is At SEGA, Accept It Already!
I do think its absolutely hillarious that members of the forum still don't think I work for SEGA now. I am. I'm here now, at their offices in Brentford. How'd you think I suddenly got such a good ability to upload? Lol. Seriously, I'm here until mid-May; unless we get moved out because of the imminent office renovations, where upon I'll be up with Sports Interactive in Islington or wherever it is they're based. There is the possibility of something permanent not-long afterwards, money, SoJ and other things permitting.

I dunno what you want from me frankly. You could ask T-Bird, his brother or Dreadknux on whether or not they have recently recieved stuff from SEGA through the post with compliments slips signed by me. You could look at the blindingly obvious fact that I'm posting so very frequently on the Sonic City Blognik.

How about some more soundtracks? I'll be sorting out the following on my lunch, I have the pages ready but want to do some tweaks first: Sonic The Hedgehog (Game Gear), Shadow The Hedgehog: Lost & Found and Sonic Adventure Remix.

Anyway don't forget to send in suggstions for me to take to this meeting (whenever it is) and keep checking back for more info.

Code Fixes and More... (Edited - Depository Update!)
I've quickly done a couple of code truncations and some fixes, so you should now be able to see Omega's cast image.

Whilst they are not up yet to download, there is plenty of action going on with the uploading of various media files for the Shadow Depository. I'll be sorting out a page for the uploads when I can - on my lunch probably - but certainly Sonic 1, 2, 3, Rush, CD, 3D, Chaos, Triple Trouble and more are getting ready to debut.

EDIT: And as if by magic, the next depository update has gone online - the Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack is now downloadable. Small steps remember. I'll try and whip up another soundtrack page on the train home.

New Comic, New Polls & An Opportunity....
Hiya boys and girls. Some things to talk about, the first thing of course is that there is a new comic. Just a quick one to keep you going. I really want to get back to the main plot, but its proving difficult at the moment with work and travelling 5 hours a day Monday to Friday. Hopefully you'll get a good giggle out of #041: Beret & Bongos. (Before anyone says anything the Power Rings comment was made in an affectionate way.)

I'm trying to line up some groovy exclusives for the Shadow Depository from SEGA, some seriously interesting stuff not seen before, or if seen only glimpsed. What I'm trying to get is some Sonic Rivals stuff as I've actually taken some interest in the title recently and now the PSP is getting on the Cloud Wi-Fi network in the UK (at least) I'm genuinely intrigued as to whether its worth perhaps looking into it further. So please answer the polls, as I'm genuinely interested here.

With me at SEGA Mon-Fri (except Bank Holidays, natch) I'm in a very interesting position whereby I could perhaps have some influence on future releases. SEGA Europe themselves seem very interested in what I, as a community representative have to say. So what I've done is I've set up a very special email account where you can email with your general points on the Sonic series. Now please don't email me with 'Shadow Suxx0rz, Eggman ROFLCOPTER' I'm talking about if you have very genuine points.

Let me know what you want to see, what you like/dislike about the current games, their set-ups, features, trends, etc and I will endeavour to pass them on. Seriously, we the fanbase have a bit of an opportunity here, and I think you guys know me well enough that I'm not afraid to pull any punches with them. So if you DO want to have your say email me at sega@sonicwrecks.com.

I will NOT reply to these or tell you whether they have been forwarded, put forward or what have you, so please don't ask. M'kay?

Stay tuned to SW for Sonic news as we get it. In the mean time: HAPPY EASTER!

Music... Makes The Bourgeoisie & The Rebel.... Something.
A few things, firstly those people wanting some help with Sonic & The Secret Rings, you can now find a Sonic Team created guide online. See my recent post on the Sonic City Blognik for further details. Another post should be going up soon with the full list of winners from SEGA Europe's 'Sonic Poetry' contest. More on developments at SoE HQ soon.

Another day, another massive chunk of content uploaded for you on the Shadow Depository! Yup, the proper album version of the Sonic Riders soundtrack (Speedbeats Grand Prix) is now available to you.

I'm going to try and add some more stuff over the weekend, possibly a quick comic?

Come Give Me A Hug, I'm Down At The Club. Or Something...
See what happens when I finally get a decent connection? The first of the promised Depository updates has gone up, and it is MUSIC related! Hear the fanboys roar!

Yeah, its a remix album from 1996 - the SEGA Club Saturn album; 15 tracks of remixed love with tracks from Sonic, NiGHTS and some other more obscure Saturn games.

Enjoy.

Project E-On: EchoNET Gets Antsy & SONIC PC
It seems EchoNET - the artists formally known as EchoWorlds, are gettting all antsy over the proposed SW forum Entherial Online (referred to as E-On). Let me just say that I will, in the event E-On does go online keep a link to EchoNET for as long as they maintain interest in SW, or until you all go off on one again over some stupid thing and get all vicious with each other.

You've had FAR too many of those, and far too many chances - at least EW did, so please be good this time around. I only mention this as the 'cycle' of repair > smooth running > improve > mass argument has hit improve. I find it interesting to see how some people on there are very anti-SW. Very interesting.

In other news, I can at least confirm that no one knows whether or not SONIC The Hedgehog on PC will every happen. Seriously everyone stop talking about it. NOBODY KNOWS!!!! sad

So, it's April 2nd... (Late Night Edit)
I'll fix the rest of the news page up again to normal later, but until then I have some things to do. Anyway:

1) The Mario skin was going to occur anyway for 1/4, the fact that Mario and Sonic was released earlier was just a rather handy co-incidence. It will return in full when I have the time later in the year.
2) There is no Sonic bio in the pieline, also "Kal Parnot-Gikas" is an anagram of "Sir Pranksalot". SW Fans = Fail.
3) Much as I'd like a 'Radio Bowser' there was of course no such show, the link merely pointing to Radio Redux 204.
5) TSS? You'll have to find out via Diego....
6) "Quackers"... sorry I'm bound by a non-disclosure agreement, because...
7) I DO CURRENTLY WORK FOR SEGA! IN YOUR COLLECTIVE FACES! No, seriously I'm just doing a job for them at the moment which my personal skills and SEGA knowledge just so happens to tick boxes. Now, back to normal everyone - nothing to see here.

EDIT: Right, everything is now back to normal with a few changes, as I haven't got Adobe on my piece of crap SEGA laptop T.T doing comics are tricky. So I'm gonna concentrate on writing some new cast bios. I wrote Omega's on the train home and so should be sorting out images for him and any others I manage at the weekend. Also I'll be commencing uploading of massive Shadow Depository additions which should please the media horders within you.

Its 10PM and I'm now off to bed for my 5AM wake up. It's a jolly life.
