Two New Comics: #W07 & SG#04 |
Two new comics for you this May 30th. I have been trying to make myself very busy over the course of today, as this particularly day is rather painful for me for various personal reasons. As such I've got a wiggle on with the things that have been causing issue for a time and you have a new Sonic Wrecks wreckslet in the form of #W07: Stars In Stripes which marks the debut of a certain cat and a certain as yet unnamed raccoon. The other thing is that the Sailor Gem section hsa gotten content; whilst not mentioned yesterday the 'What Is Sailor Gem?' page went online early in the morning. But for those that can remember the previous two viewable comics in this little series, there is a return to the G-Team's HQ for Ep 4: Suspicious Heinz. NB: Some may find that there is jokeular overlap with a certain Chaotix X episode which should tell you just how long ago it was started for me to consider using the jokes in Chaotix X instead. The Sailor Gem archive should go up soon with the episodes two and three as well as the cast page and sprite credits. I've altered the Forthcoming Projects lists slightly so it's now alphabetised and with any luck a VERY special RR#207 will be making an appearance within the next few days. Are you in for a surprise. |

More Nieces, Sailor Gem, WrecksFest |
With the end of May rapidly approaching and me now, thanks to my mate an uncle AGAIN (having kids and making me feel old, honestly....) I suspect you'll be wanting me to 'do something'.
Well the Radio Redux page has been updated with a vague timeline of the next few shows and Sailor Gem 4 is now complete so I shall be trying to get the SG section up and running over the course of tomorrow - SG4 debuting with that section.
People like Dreadknux and T-Bird have been putting up their photos of WrecksFest on Facebook. I will though be making a page for all the photos - I'm just waiting for Darkspeeds ones to be sifted through by T-Bird. |

WrecksFest: Post Meet Thoughts |
EDIT: All people who went can they please check my new post in the SSMB WrecksFest thread as I need you to answer the questions I wasn't able to get round and do for the show. Ta. Okay - poll changed, stop whinging. The meet went spectacularly well as all ten confirmed peeps turned up, with me and OMG_M1ke from SegaRadio/Sonic Cage Dome being the first. Although we steadfastly managed to miss each other even though we later realised we were actually in plain eyesight of each other for about 15 mins. Svend, Rory and Elson arrived together. It seems Darkspeeds had to get the master of Sonic to tell the UK immigration people to let him in the country or something. See the power Dreadknux wields! Expect him to be made an OBE soon. Mike finally twigged, thanks in part to Dreadknux's now massive Jesus-esque hair, we were (Read more) |

#208: WrecksFest Questions |
Alas we have had two 'acts' cancel, don't worry though as we have lined up two replacements. I.e. these are the people we know who are coming...
HAIRYMANCUT 100 (or rather Hairyman from Sonic Yoda) and DEEP VIOLET (or rather Violet from the SSMB)
You have TWO DAYS to send in questions to the great and the good, and the ugly of UK Sonic fan-ness. Send them in to radioredux@, and remember you can send in questions for myself, the two mentioned previously, Rom from SEGA (assuming he appears from Sommerset), DC (likewise), Dreadknux, T-Bird, Roareye Black, Jonic and Darkspeeds.
Don't worry about #207, that's taken care of. |

Domain Name Update |
Final fiddling around with the domain transfer of SW is going ahead, it should switch within 7 days to its new location. Please remember, that if you find one day that SW doesn't seem to be working you can use archangeluk.com to also see the site. ;) |

SWA: Phase One Closed |
Phase One has now ended, NO MORE nominations for this years Handies will be accepted. Should you wish to contact me on SWA matters however the email account for the SWA is still open.
Now will begin the process of me sifting through them, investigating the sites for worthiness and whether or not the site deserves a place in the final voting stages.
The final nominations will be read out during Wrecksfest, which will be interesting, so you'll get to hear them when Radio Redux #208 is broadcast. After which they'll go on line with links so you can do a bit of research before the vote starts proper around June 19th. |

The Thursday Round-up: The Return Of The Manga-nificent Seven (-2) |
YOU HAVE JUST OVER 24 HOURS TO SEND IN YOUR NOMINATIONS FOR THIS YEARS "HANDIES".
SEND THEM IN TO SWA@SONICWRECKS.COM. (CATEGORIES VIEWABLE BY CLICKING ON THE LINK ON THE 'QUICKLINKS' BAR UNDER THE HEADER IMAGE.)
Now that the caps lock stuff out of the way I'm pleased to announce that the first stage development of the Fan's Corner [Interactive] has gone online. Fan's Corner was something I've wanted to impliment for some time where fans that send in fanart etc to SW can find their work put. Maybe we'll even have an RL picture section as Echo Network's one has done so well.
It's kind of spartan atm, not in a King Leonidias way, but rather there is not much in it. In time I hope to hook up some sort of RSS linkage with Ram the Dragon and Echo Hawk's (our two fanartists) Deviant Art accounts but for the time being I have been able to at least put the first five pages of Echo Hawk's manga-esque comic "Tru To Your Heart" back online.
As you may recall, when my hard drive packed up good and proper I lost a lot of stuff and it was feared Tru was amongst that but after sorting through a lot of images, CDs and dusty floppy disks I've found the 'print' versions of 1-5 and the scans of all the 11 pages I'd been given. So I shall try and get those going later on.
In other news: The Tails bio is mostly done and that will be up next, tomorrow will be spent recording for a future media download - actually I might have more than one piece of news on that regard soon!
May 23rd's WrecksFest (see below), or Wong-Con, or T-Bird In The Park or Rorrangg or Svendstonbury or whatever you want to call it - appears to have another confirmed face according to the TSS thread on the subject. Sonic Yoda's webmaster 'Hairyman' is due to make an appearance as well, I have the feeling a lot of people will be wearing those yellow 15th t-shirts, so something else to keep an eye out if you're thinking of coming. That , T-Bird's magical hat and the Svend-ster's massive hippy quiff.
According to TSS I cannot be described in terms of something you might be able to keep an eye out for, but a moderately tall, biggish bloke with a beard and a black leather jacket might be more helpful...
More later perhaps. AAUK |

WrecksFest 2007 |
Firstly, archangeluk.com should NOW be working properly.
In other news check out TSS for news of a UK meetup of fans in London on May 23rd named (somewhat jokingly by me) WrecksFest but is more a turn out to meet aussie artist (and foolish attempter of Dreadknux remixing) Darkspeeds.
Plans currently comprise of doing some kind of massive roundtable Radio Redux with questions from others who turn up (you can send in questions to Darkspeeds, myself, T-Bird, Roareye Black and Dreadknux at radioredux@sonicwrecks.com) and I'm sure Demx can provide some kind of SUPER Magnificent 7 for us. Can't he? After which we wont have a clue but general socialising and alcohol for those old enough is on the cards.
SEGA Community ICON Romily 'Rom' Broad might also be making an appearance, as well as DC from Bath if the winds are favourable.
Anyway check out TSS for more concrete details, specific details can be asked of T-Bird, Roareye or me. Leave Dread alone, he's revising.
PS: Found that pi sign yet? Its a lot easier than normal.... |

Unreleased Rivals Wallpapers, Manuals, Domain Names... |
The SEGA blogs seem to be down, I suspect this is due to leaves on the server, or something. I don't know when this will be rectified especially as Mr. Rom (so important he must be called 'mister' from now on) is on holiday for two weeks. Oh dear. Anyway, there is another update for the Shadow Depository: this time it's two manuals for a Tiger LCD game and the Saturn version of Sonic 3D (in Japanese) as well as a slew of wallpapers for Rush, Riders, Sonic 2006, Jam AND an EXCLUSIVE set of new wallpapers. These unreleased wallpapers were prepared before the launch of Sonic Rivals and the confirmation of the logo. The result is a bunch of 'new' wallpapers that have more of a clean space so your icons don't cover anything. Check it out, you'll see what I mean. The Sonic Wrecks name transfer should start within the next few days, when that happens (and the site goes offline seemingly) you should be able to still view this site by going to archangeluk.com which will point to the account by then. Oh btw, 3.1415926535........ |

#206: AAUK & DC's Bash In The Attic |
A brand new Radio Redux and it's actually on location! AAUK has headed (via a 4hr train journey) down to Bath and DC's house for a very special show. The latest news including what people think that mysterious new Rush Adventure character is called in "Name That Raccoon". Learn the hidden secrets of the universe! Is Smartbomb 'da bomb'? What is CJMErl's new jingle? What truth does AAUK know about Bambi's mother and just why are birds flying in reverse?
Finally who will win as DC and AAUK battle it out for ultimate supremacy (or something) on Super Smash Bros. Melee? That and the usual tasty line up of music in this three hour plus special Radio Redux.
PS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAM THE DRAGON!
From earlier today: The "Affiliates" page has finally been added to the Interactive section. I'm hoping to get things moving on these 'little' pages and fill some gaps on the navigation bar. Sailor Gem 4 (and its section) is also a priority for me to finish at some time this week. |

Domain Names, The Vault & Other Things... |
Firstly - Phase One of the Sonic Wrecks Awards 2007, i.e. nominations will END a week today. You still have time to nominate for any of the awards mentioned previously, a full list is up on the SWA page. We are shy of entries for the humour related site, surely there are more Sonic sites out there that are funny in their content besides Vegemite and sprite comics...
Right, there are going to be some changes behind the scenes over the next month or so, as with me apparenyly not getting back to SEGA for another few weeks minimum its an ideal time to sort it!
The several domain names I own are going to move from their current hosting to where SW (the site) is hosted. These include SW (the domain name), so there might be a couple of days or so downtime at some point while the server names are all swapped around. At the end of the day all 5 domain names of mine should be pointing at SW one of which will be kevskingdom.com.
This year KevsKingdom.Com, my old site from which Sonic Wrecks originally sprung is ten years old and to celebrate this huge anniverary it is being brought BACK by way of the previously mentioned section 'The Vault'. In here you'll find stuff old and new for you to re-discover as it will include things such as funny quotes, games and written pieces on games and on other things such as tv shows and famous people.
In other news: I'll be looking to upload the next Radio Redux episode soon, unless its too big for it's own good of course then we might have to wait another week or so. That and there is a wreckslet waiting in the wings for me to have the will to complete it. Meh. If there are any other updates such as depository bits I'll add them at the bottom of this post.
I'm off to see Spidey 3. Have a nice weekend!

New Wallpapers... For Your PSP! |
Yes those of you who couldn't be arsed to get the superior DS, you know who you are, will be pleased to know I've added some new items to the Shadow Depository to cater for your black and silver smear collecting machine.
Lol. PSP = Polish. Smeared. Polish.
Anyway, yes we have some new wallpapers in the form of some gap filers in the SONIC The Hedgehog section with backgrounds for Tails, Rouge, Amy and Knuckles. But the PSP people get special attention with some brand new not-on-the-fanbase-to-date-as-far-as-I-can-see wallpapers for the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive Collection! Enjoy your Sonic 1, Shinobi, Virtua Fighter or Golden Axe graphical love.
PS: PSP owners - a tip from my SEGA adventures; get the new After Burner game if you can as it's really fun to play! PPS: Can someone put a thread for the SWA on the SSMB in the websites bit. Ta. |

TSS In 'Inactivity' Shocker! |
The Sonic Stadium's head caretaker and general replacer of tap washers, Svend "Dreadknux" Joscelyne has announced that he is to take a one month vacation from the hubbub of doing nothing to the site to work on the remains of his University course.
TSS will carry on in his absence, a bastion of inactivity except on the SSMB and other TSSNET sites until he returns.
At the end of the day not much has changed, and I'm just wishing my mate good luck with his exams and stuff. Also Svend is lying slightly as he will be with me and T-Bird and others in London on May 23rd for various Sonic related things. |

Another Massive Depository Upload, RR On Location & More... |
First some clarification: SWA Phase One = NOMINATIONS. Phase Two = OFFICIAL NOMINATIONS CHOSEN. Phase Three = THE VOTING. Phase Four = VOTING OVER/RESULTS COLLATED. Phase Five = AWARD CEREMONY. Well, the SWA has already provoked a massive response since it was announced. It has been announced on the Shadow Speed News service which is helping to spread the word, my personal thanks to them and Shadow Realm. I am sure multiple SWA winner Sonic News will follow suit VERY soon. *AHEM*Yes, for once the SWA is DROWNING in nominations, I'm only half way through all the emails (swa@sonicwrecks.com remember) and we've almost got numbers enough to cover all the nomination places, not only that but there are some really good little sites I'm being made aware of for some awards which is fantastic. The fandom needs new blood! *wipes the trickle of red from his mouth with sleeve* - keep sending those nominations in people. As for the Shadow Depository, there is (Read more) |

THE SONIC WRECKS AWARDS 2007: PHASE ONE BEGINS |
Now that people have finished their cookie cleaning/vote/repeat exercise on the Sonic & Shadow Site Awards (yes, it ended last month, but I only just found out... see previous comments on S&SSA) we can start thinking about more important things. Yes, the SWA are here! The Sonic Wrecks Awards, the dreaded "completely irreverant as opposed to the Sonic Site Awards, second most important sonic community awards" are here again and the nominations (i.e phase one) has commenced Yes you can now submit nominations to swa@sonicwrecks.com. These can be for any site/individual (fitting the guidelines, obviously) under the following awards: - Best Humour Related Site - Can anyone prise it from out of Sonic Vegemite's undead Aussie fingers?

(Click on them to view) SWA FAQ - YES you can nominate yourself or your website.
- YES you can nominate in more than one category and YES you can nominate more than one nominee for the same award.
- YES you can send more than one email.
- NO there is no forum award.
- NO you cannot nominate Sonic Stadium for the Best Site award.
- NO SonicAnime.net still do not wish to be part of the SWA to my knowledge. They're welcome to tell me otherwise of course, as they've made a lot of progress since last year as far as I'm aware - though lord knows what they'll make of Sonic CuLT's awards if they couldn't take the joke of the infamous SWA 'Take A Hike Trophy'.
- YES I still maintain one of their own nominated them for it, I refuse to say who.
- YES you can put fanart against fanfiction, so don't whinge - quality should be your priority.
- NO there is NO award pretaining to "Best dressed Sonic fan" or "Best Sonic based hat." Sod off T-Bird.
- NO there are NO new awards this year.
- NO I don't know when the process will finish, but I will let you know.
- YES The Awards will finish on (or around) July 4th as usual. SW's 'unofficial' birthday.
