Competition Reminder & Mass Depository Update
You can now see the Shadow art in question in the header, remember you hav until Halloween to get your entry in, you might as well have a guess as you've still got a good chance of winning. Remember, SW does have a lot of headers...

The Shadow Depository has had a monsterous update and has ha da graphical tweak as well for good measure. I've almost filled the gap up to Knuckles' Chaotix and now only Sonic Drift 2/Racing, not only that but there's a new section in Miscellaneous where you'll find all the cheat codes etc, for the Sonic games from now on.

The Videos section has also gained, with two new SONIC The Hedgehog CG videos lined up, one for Sonic's 2nd and Silver's 1st scenes. What else is there? I'm sure there was more.... Huh....

#049: The Maltese Chamelion & LOTS of Depository Stuff
EDIT: We came joint first with Cage Dome for the SSA Elite Award. Thank you for your votes!

Been a few days since an SW update as I have been busy at SEGA HQ putting together several things. During which time Discoponies moaned at the lack of updates (jeez...) and SW ALMOST nipped into the top 500 webcomics. Crumbs!

There has, for the weekend been a raft of new additions to the site - the first being a new storyline comic which will make loyal SW fans jibber with excitement as we finally get first mention of a certain organisation. A reference to Sonic Wrecks also gets a reciept. The navigation section of the site now has a link to the Blognik RSS feed at the top and full comic notes are now available for the last four comics bringing those up to date.

In the Depository there has been an update in Videos, Images and Sounds with a host of ten new wavs added to Sonic 1's sound section as well as it being upgraded to the new Depository style. Super high quality character art images have been added to Rush Adventure's images section as well as this page getting a make over too. Whilst Storyline CG vids for Brawl (DK/Diddy) and SONIC The Hedgehog (Sonic's Story #12 - Shadow and Rouge) are final additions.

New Sonic Rivals 2 Battle Footage & More...
SEGA Europe just posted some new YouTube videos which show footage of Sonic Rivals 2 battles. Remember you can check the videos out below, or alternatively remember you can subscribe to the SEGA Europe YouTube service, at http://youtube.com/SEGAEurope.

I failed in my quest for completion of Sonic Wrecks #049, but I'm half way there and it's a 14 frame comic. I've also uploaded for you into the depository the recent Sonic Channel additions of Shadow render wallpaper and Green Hill Zone style book cover and mark (both in lettercraft).

More Little Fixes (Very Few Foxes)
HEY YOU GUUUUUYSSSS! Just to let you know there were a few more little fixes after Demx noticed something, apparently the Club Saturn page had vanished - which is surprising. This has been reuploaded and has a rottweiler guarding it now. Also all error pages, if you hit the Sonic Wrecks link on the link tree at the top of the page it WILL now go back to this page here... not try and go to news.php of whatever directory you're currently in.

Additionally: Discoponies is gonna try and use all the money he has the rich git to fund his Director account on YouTube and put up RR212. It won't be as good as from Radio Redux direct, and you'll miss a lot of the good text gags. I'm also gonna try and do a comic tonight before I go to sleep exhausted in the SEGA office following VGL.

SW Server Move & Downtime Warning & Updates and Fixes
No. 1 - I'd also like to remind you to keep voting for the Shadow Depository and Radio Redux in the Sonic Show Media Awards!!!!!!!

Secondly - I've fixed and updated a few things; the Depository album cover of Sonic Battle now says 2004. I suspect I'll have to reupload all the Sonic Battle rips again, but no matter... I've also uploaded the full Radio Redux #212 show notes, updated the archive which now lists future shows all the way up to #216, the final show of season 2.

The Statpod has also been updated with post-Bird Con additions which has seen a startling change in the way the Top 10 guests leaderboard. M1k3 Tayl0r has also been reinstated on this board after I erased OMG_M1ke and forgot to put his new name on instead.

Demx contacted me about some issues which have now been fixed; apparently the link on the music page for Heroes went to Sonic Battle and the Mean Bean Machine page for music had some wierd thing with 2s going on which I can only put down to Dreamweaver going slightly insane.

Now the main news: Apparently at some stage SW's gonna get moved to a new server as part of StartLogic's reorganisation. Apparently this server will be faster, stronger, more intense and have the ability to fly (or something) but that means Sonic Wrecks will disappear at some point until the move is complete... or rather updates will cease until the move is complete. The site will still be here, but when the migration of files (which is a lot in SW's case) is finished the urls will point somewhere else.

I've also just put a new blog live on the Blognik you might want to check out, catch you next week, or see you at VGL in London tomorrow.

Your Pre-Weekend Update
I know the Blognik is down, which is annoying as there is a blog of mine which is new. You'll also note the RSS link images for this news feed (orange) and Radio Redux (purple) are now ABOVE the links on the left - there is a reason for this to be revealed in time... apart from being more useful to you.

The Depository has had a biiiiiig update in terms of audio; first off however the press release section (Misc) has had the SEGA Smash Tennis announcement added. Please note though the screen used is a mock-up, no official logo has been given out as yet.

In terms of audio we've got a lot of new soundtracks up.

Knuckles' Chaotix

Sonic Battle (I'll correct the year tomorrow...)

Sonic Heroes: Complete Collection

Sonic Mega Collection
and from the other day

Club Saturn

And thats all for now!

SEGA Superstars Tennis
SEGA have just announced a new Sonic game, and its a return to the days of SEGA Superstars on the PS2. Sonic and fellow SEGA starlets are fighting in a very special tennis tournament, so expect all the realism of Virtual Tennis 3 thrown out the window for craziness.

Of the screenshots shown two show Green Hill Zone court with as Sonic does battle with Amigo- In one you can clearly see Blaze waving support, surrounded by Chao. The other shows Knuckles behind Sonic in the crowd and if you look carefully you'll spot *sigh* Big The F'N Cat (ALSO in the crowd Sonic News... *wags finger*). For sheer brilliance though, and I do mean this is BRILLIANT - a Motara beetle appears to be the ball boy!Screenshot #1 | Screenshot #2

Sonic RPG Latest & Sonic Show@TSS
Contrary to what people are saying in response to the news being broadcast on Sonic News, Sonic RPG is NOT out of the woods yet. Currently all that is known is that as far as TSS's responder knows at this present time Sonic RPG is still a going concern. HOWEVER, the PR team that deals with this game has yet to make comment or issue an official statement at this time. Just some clariffication for you boys and girls.

As EXCLUSIVELY revealed on Radio Redux episode 212, The Sonic Show is moving from Sonic Cage Dome to The Sonic Stadium for their second season. I've gotten a press release from Discoponies about the situation and it may be of interest to you. You can check it out at: http://thesonicshow.org/excitingnews.pdf

Edit: Also, if you're finding the skins are sticking on SW and as a result you are STILL showing the rotating header, you'll be annoyed to find I've now erased all the headers from the site except the competition one. Mwah ha ha ha ha!

212: Bird Con 2000 (VIDCAST) includes COMMUNITY EXCLUSIVE NEWS
Yes, its up at last - sorry I only finished sorting things as I went out the door from SEGA today. I'm absolutely cream crackered.

So the vidcast is a go-go, its 90 minutes and 180Mb which isn't that bad at all condidering the picture quality! IT ALSO INCLUDES A NEWS EXCLUSIVE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF ONE OF YOUR FAVOURITE SONIC SITES! There are lots of little entertaining things, and speaking of entertaining - I hope you all voted for SW in the SSA. As I need you now to vote for us in something else. The Sonic Show Media Awards to be precise.

Go to http://thesonicshow.org/awards and you can vote for Radio Redux in best audio show and Sonic Wrecks' Shadow Depository in the best provider of Sonic media. We REALLY need some support as rumours are circling that RR's getting spanked by Club SegaSonic Radio atm. *Sigh*

You'll make AAUK upset if you don't go vote for us... crying

COMPETITION!!!!! OHHH MYYYY GOOODDDD!!!! (Edited w/news)
Edit#1: Lloyd from video game music group BOTNIK has emailed me saying they'll be playing at GameCity with The Lost Levels on OCT 25th at 8pm in Lee Rosy's Tea Rooms. Go see them if they can, I'm promised Sonic songs should they get a bassist in time.
Edit#2: I am informed that Nicknyte Corp. is back up online.
________________________________________________________
For your chance to win an exclusive signed A3 artwork of Shadow from Shadow the Hedgehog signed by the legendary Yuji Naka himself answer the following question:

How many headers (of the lyric mocking type you usually see above here) does Sonic Wrecks have?

That’s the combined total across ALL the skins - SW Classic, Amy Wrecks, That’s No Good, Masters of the Desert and Sonic Shipwrecks. NB: The wreckslet-esque ones don't count.

Send in your guess, name and address along with a tie-breaker finishing in 20 words “Sonic Wrecks is the best sonic site because...” to
archangeluk(AT)SonicWrecks(DOT)Com with the subject as "COMPETITION" plz...

Closest to the correct total wins, in the event of a tie the breaker will be used. Competition ends on HALLOWEEN, strictly one entrant per person.

HINT: The total is a lot.

BioWare Latest, Tru To Your Heart, Dep Images....
Latest on BioWare is that it seems I was one of the first people to spread the news about, the first quote I got was that the takeover "was not good" and they are looking into just what this means for things with Sonic RPG. I know TSS have enquired (see: Sonic News), but its likely I'll know first with the way things are atm so keep an eye on SN, Sonic Wrecks and the Blognik.

You had an update earlier (see below) but here's another one for you! The Shadow Depository Images section has had a couple of new entries and a new page in graphics from Sonic The Hedgehog. The US Game Gear cover (front, back) are now up there - as is in Fan's Corner the next page (10) of Echo Hawk's "Tru To Your Heart"! Nicely.

Also I've just added 24 new headers to the default skin - why is this important? Oh, you'll see... TOMORROW!

That's The Sound Of The Men Working On The Press... Ga-A-ang
No news on BioWare as of yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do (and am able to). In the mean time consider this a first little update for Friday; I've been up for an hour working on the Press Release section and its now been completely reworked.

It looks more Dep 2.0 than previously and games are actually sectioned off now. I've also reworked several of the game title images - Rivals 2 now has the logo and artwork for instance and there are ones done for Rush Adventure, Sonic 06, Sonic RPG (should we ever get to that point again) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

The two press releases from the other day, namely Sonic in Brawl and the Mii functionality and Dream Stages from Mario & Sonic have been uploaded.

Don't Go Br-EA-king My Heart....
AHHHHH Bugger.

EA has gone and "acquired" Pandemic which also means they've gone and got BioWare. BioWare you may recall were working on the as yet untitled Sonic RPG. What this means is that, as I doubt SEGA would want Electronic "It's In The Chequebook" Arts anywhere NEAR Sonic, our beloved RPG will likely be canned.

I've litterally just fired off an email to some boys and girls in SEGA to ask them to try and find out for us. I'll try and get some sort of clarification either way and then try and get a blog approved for the Blognik. M'kay?

News From The SWAG Bag
Okay, I know I haven't put up the new goodies yet, but what I've been busying myself with is getting together a "Master Table" for SWAG which I can use as reference. I've finished going through every single Sonic game from Sonic The Hedgehog to Sonic Rush Adventure and I'm pleased to say that I'm finally done - at least for levels.

Did you know that, counting all levels as well as notable locations such as the adventure fields, there are 197 different main level name originators - i.e. "Green" and 190 main level terminators - i.e. "Hill".

I think I may have my work cut out on this one........ sad

MaRIO & SoNIC Into Dreams
I told you there would be, and there is - new M&S News: I can confirm you'll be able to get your Mii characters and drag them kicking and screaming into the game so you can litterally face off against Mario and Sonic as yourself. Not only that there are a series of "Dream" events, all of which are completely over the top versions (hence in your dreams) of some of the sports. These (in a nutshell) include:

"Dream Platform" - 10,000m Diving (I'm told the 'into a glass of water' is still reserved for Yosemite Sam only...)
"Dream Race" - Oodles of power-ups litter this sandy course.
"Dream Fencing" - Get tricked by Tom Sawyer into whitewashing a fence... no, not really. You fight in (yoooooo it's) a jungle with unique special moves for each character.
and "Dream Table Tennis" - "A Sci-Fi Wonderland" it says, so expect insane game physics maybe?

I'll be putting the press-release up later....

WARNING! NEW NEWS APPROACHING!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Okay, its fair to say we're rather excited as what the gaming public has litterally been praying for has finally happened.

Trust me when I say that things were so tight, no one (and I litterally mean no one) at SOE HQ knew whether or not it was going to occur and we were calling in favours and making people cups of tea like it was going out of fashion to find out - but now we can finally say....

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG IS IN SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL!!!!

Revealed at Nintendo's autumn conference, the highlight was the blue ones inclusion into the franchise which has been going since 1999.

well, sorry but Sonic's been rumbling since 1997 so lets see what these Ninty boys are made of with some old-skool walloping! Click here to see the video of the blue one whooping moustacheoed ASCII!

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!

Here I Come To SEGAve The Day...
...thank goodness AAUK is on his way! Yup, as of Monday I'm back in London for part three of my super SEGA saga. (Alliteration +4)

This time I'm back for "4-6 weeks" as they've scraped together some money from somewhere... possibly from robbing small children of their dinner money or something, to get me back for that period of time until the full-time job is sorted.

So the Blognik will update again, more often, with bells on as we sort out the countdown to the New Sonic City! In the next few days I'm gonna stock up on creative shizzle for that period, I'm also gonna remember to take the high quality Chaotix X's in with me this time - yes they will eventually appear, without Ep 5 if need be.

Speaking of - have you noticed the "Forthcoming Projects" section? It seems the script has some kind of percentage by the side of it - yes, I've actually STARTED it. HoooooooooRAH!

So in the run up to next week I'll be starting the HUGE Sonic Wrecks competition, the depository will be getting a Charmy'n amount of content including very soon things like the 10th Anniversary OST and SA2 vocal track collections (with instrumentals... HINT HINT). That and a slew of other stuff no doubt.

Right I'm off to do some groovy Football Manager 2007-ing, as my goal for reducing Blake Draco to tears has been successful. Catch you laters boyos.

#W08: Why Sonic In Zelda Wouldn't Work - The Cruel Sea (Edited)
Check out the Barbed Wire Halo page for all blogs from now on, there's a new one there (and below) about GameCity.

New comic, a Wreckslet, is now online - the title is long, and is above this post!

In other news we have OFFICIALLY made it - yes SW has done the amazing and been nominated for Comic 07 in The Sonic S*** Awards, Sonic Cult's parody awards. I hereby accept this provisional nomination welcomingly! For it is proof Sonic Wrecks has gained mainstream knowledge, we made it - AIDRIAAAAAANNNNNNNNN!

I'll keep you up to date on how we do, obviously I'd sooner NOT win- if I do I can do a Halle Berry/Razzies moment.

Edit: Well, it seems there was a bit of an issue on the "latest" page that prevented the comic from showing - basically it was pointing at w08.jpg instead of W08.jpg. A schoolboy error now fixed. It seems that the comic was displaying the old working title as well so a new version has been uploaded.

Another upload online that I'm gonna mention here instead of a new post, is that of another soundtrack in the Shadow Depository. The next addition: Sonic Spinball (8-Bit).

GameCity 2007: The Difficult Second Year
I'm busy at work on a quick little comic for the weekend, but until then I feel the need to blog about GameCity.

Nottingham's very own game festival, with absolutely no related archery or Robin Hood references has launched its line-up for this year - and 'oh...' is the response from me.

Yes, after last years shenanagins with Sonic's 15th as well as a fantastic min-concert by Richard Jacques (featuring the very friendly T.J Davis as a guest) the 2007 line-up leaves a little to be desired. I was hoping after the run-away success of last year Richard might well return, perhaps playing a more general game concert of his favourite tracks. But, alas no, I will have to simply savour in memory the fantastic moment he played some of Tim Follin superb Ecco series score.

In fact after last year and the Tea Party where I met T-Bird for the first time, who has since gone on to become one of my bestest mates as well as Dreadknux for the first time.

This years offering seems rather pale in comparison; yes, there is the chance to meet the guys behind Katamari Damacy and Tetris but what else is there? Certainly nothing for the Sonic fans - or the general SEGA fans, or the Nintendo fans, or frankly the Microsoft and Sony fans either.

So I won't be going there this year, unless SEGA decide to send me there as part of some kind of fact finding, research or promotoinal exercise. Ah well, roll on October 22nd and Video Games Live!

October 3rd Updates...
Another day, another mass update for the Depository - tomorrow will be "make a comic" day so we'll get something underway for you on that.

But yes, another update and I must say I'm annoyed with Sonic Channel's RSS feed as it never seems to register an update despite the fact that it DOES update. Go figure... Anyway, I've brought us up to date in terms of their recent offerings: Amy wallpaper #2 (new 3D Render) and Tikal colouring paper. The final two costume renders from Sonic Rivals (Shadows) have also gone up in the images section and the next soundtrack has gone live in the music section.

I'd actually somehow missed Sonic Spinball, I really don't know WHY but it doesn't matter now anyway as it's up. Please note, this is the 1993 Mega Drive/Genesis version - the 1994 8-Bit version (Game Gear/Master System) will be the next one up.

Call This A Depository? Well, YES Actually...
Well I'm back once again from the Land Of Blue and am waiting for the opportunity to become head of the Sonic Community once again. Yup, I've been told to my face there will be a job for me in charge of all you lot at SEGA - I've just got to wait for the position to become a financial viability. I.e. the wonga materialises from SOJ for me. Scary, ne?

Anyway, yes, me = back so expect more updates again as I work to clear the backlog of media and items that i've accumulated. Should I ever put everything I now have in my archives up onto SW, trust me, Sonic Wrecks would absolutely DWARF anything Stadium, FastFeet, Cage Dome and Style could throw at me. Who is your daddy? Huh? Who. Is. Your. Daddy? laughing

People have been giving me hints that it might be an idea to get the more up to date music on the Depository, that it was disappointing to find things only up to Sonic 3 on there. Luckily others were around to point out that I was uploading games chronologically and they should be patient.

You are right tho that I should get my skates on, so in order to facilitate some form of coverage of this a raft of new additions to the music section has just gone live...(Read more)

Mario & Sonic At The Sonic Channel Media
A little update for you, the press release I was talking about that was distributed yesterday has made its way onto the Depository. Secondly, the lettercraft section has had an update thanks to Sonic Channel's insistance you brand everything in your house with Sonic. You can now grab a Sonic book cover and a Sonic bookmark.

Additonal Edit: More Depository! More vids! Yup I've had the chance to work on SW for a little bit while some bits panned out for me so I've slung up two videos from Kikizo on the Sonic Gems Collection. The title image for that also changed as it looked like Knuckles had a moustache. wassat

You'll also be pleased to know I found my randomness hat~! Which means I got in the frame of mind ot write another profile. Expect it to be up either tomorrow or the weekend. It's Rouge before you start guessing who.

MORE Mario & Sonic News - Events Announced
Are you keeping up with it so far? Right, SEGA at 4PM UK time released a general press release that confirms the release date on Wii as November 23rd and DS release as "Spring 2008".

It also confirms the list of sports the game "includes" so that doesn't neccessarily mean thats all of them. They are:

Fencing (individual epée), archery, shooting (skeet), trampoline, vault, high, long, pole and triple jumps, hammer and javelin, singles table tennis, single skull rowing, freestyle swimming at both 100m and 4x100m, 110m and 400m hurdles, 100m, 400m and 4x100m relay.

EDIT: I'd change the poll to remove Vector, but the content system is down again. Sigh.

Crikey! New M&S Characters Revealed
The final Chaotix member has been confirmed to appear in Mario & Sonic - and he's playable! In a departure from Chaotix appearances in the past, Vector the Crocodile will be the only playable Chaotix character in the game which is really good as all three Chaotix make a Sonic based appearance for the first time since 2005's Shadow The Hedgehog.

Vector, according to screenshots released, is a power character along with former cohort Knuckles for Team Sonic and diabolical duo Bowser and Wario for Team Mario.

The other two new characters confirmed are Princess Daisy (you know, the brunette in yellow Luigi likes) and Waluigi (you know, the black top in purple Luigi hates).

This does of course leave it, while balanced with two girls apiece - Amy, Blaze, Peach and Daisy - meaning that Rouge the Bat is conspicuously absent. Hmmm...

Separation Anxiety
Yup the Blog is back, I've finally gotten around to the reorganisation of the Barbed Wire Halo. I can't recall the last time I went on the MySpace site for SW, and having it in-house is really beneficial.

A few people have spotted something with my recent takeover of the Blognik - ArchangelUK seems to have vanished from the Blognik. Yup, instead plain old Kevin seems to have materialised in his wake - so why the ditching of the AAUK mantle at SEGA? Well, I'm gonna tell you... (Read more)

Well for the moment anyway it seem that I am in sole charge of the Sonic Blognik, I have also been given a vast array of things to give out to worthy people so expect the prospect of competitions and things on both the Blognik and Sonic Wrecks (for some have specially been put aside for us) in the relatively near future.

Crumbs, huh? Anwyay we'll see if I still have the control in a couple of weeks. Midshipman CJMErl noticed the videos page for M&S was actually going to the SatSR - that is now fixed.

Its a little later (blame work) than I intended but the Sonic Wrecks Sonic Rush Adventure skin "Sonic ShipWrecks" can now be used. Be aware I have had little to no time to test it so it may still have some quirks to work out. Select it to turn your browser about into the high seas me dears.

And lock up yer daughters, yo ho!

You Will Respect Mah Depositrahhh
A massive array of videos have gone up in the Depository - including some videos not found anywhere else. The Heroes vids are fixed and now have a couple of trailers added for good measure, Shadow has had some gameplay footage and other things added.

We've got two new Sonic Riders videos including a gameplay video given to us as a downloadable exclusive by YouTube gaming vid sensei Saikyomog. Also videos from various things including a FLICKY promotional video from SEGA Mega Drive (or Genesis) Collection, Sonic 2 Beta video.... and I'm currently trying to furnish you with a Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis video which is refusing to upload.

Oh and the colouring paper section has had an addition as well for it seems as Sonic Channel have decided to try and get things up to date. E-102 Gamma is your new character.

Back Once Again With T-Bird Behavior...
I went to Bird Con 2000, not much has changed but they live underwater and Dreadknux's great great great grandaughter looks pretty fine.

Seriously, Bird Con was a blast and we had lots of fun all around, you'll be pleased to know that the Bird Con Radio Redux has lots and lots of footage that has to come from all over the place and the RR Statpod is gonna be an interesting thing to see after this!

It's gonna take me ages (what with work) to coerce a workable vidcast out of the footage, Dread has most of it on his SUPER MACBOOK~! and I'll hopefully get that off of him very soon. Big thanks to all those that came, sent in questions and also to Darkspeeds on his fancy drawing of us all. Was a big surprised to me - do I really look that serious?????

I'll hit you with some more details either tonight or tomorrow.

Major E-On Update: Flagses, Houses & Awardses!
No real SEGA news revealed this Friday, as scanning through my MCV I only see that Nintendo have a new advertising agency. Will this effect M&S@tO? We'll see... Anyway, E-On's downtime is over so what have I been up to ALL DAY thursday?

1) As of now you can specify a country of origin and a little flag will pop up next to your gender icon in the posts and on your profile. If you don't want to thats fine, you can select not to - if an option isn't shown in your profile select NULL as your country from the dropdown list.

2) For usergroups - The Dragon's Den is moved and renamed; this is as it is now one of FOUR forum 'Houses' you can join, more will be made of this feature in time. You may only join one of these four houses, and house leaders will be able to tell if you've joined a rival house (I'll explain more in a second).

The four house groups are:

HORDERS - Those of Dragon blood, who can enter Sky Sanctuary. Your leader is Ram The Dragon.
SPINNERS - Those of the Hedgehog race, who can enter Green Hill. Your leader is Spinballwizard (naturally).
GUARDIANS - Those of the Echidna race who can enter their domain of Angel Island. Your current house leader is me until I can find someone else... and finally-
CLAWERS - These are those of a Foxy persuasion, who have access to the hidden lab in Mystic Ruins. Your leader is Edgewalker-001.

Apply to these by going to usergroups, and choose well. They should really be based on your avatar type/name and I hope house leaders will be enforcing this as much as possible. FYI: Blake Draco is classified as a dragon, so is a Horder.

To clarify, if you are neither Dragon, Hedgehog, Fox or Echidna by design you have somewhat of a free choice. You even have house mottos and I'm sure you'll find those in time... whether you share them with the other houses tho in the Discovery thread though is up to you. Heh heh.

3) Achievement Badges - Being in a house is an achievement and you gain an award badge! These badges appear under the country flag and gender images in both posts and profiles as well as with several OTHER awards which you can achieve through various means NOT RELATED TO POSTING. What these other badges are about though and how you get them you'll have to figure out for yourselves. FYI2: As a special treat, Vi's personal "I'm Sexy" award badge from the SSMB has been copied over to E-On.

That's it, go sort out those applications and flags and stuff.

Blognik Competition, SOE Has A Delorean & Several Wills
Sega of Europe have announced a competition on the Blognik, alas it isn't my fantastic one of getting you all to do pirate impressions. That has been booted into non-being for... a simple answer-the-question-and-get-drawn-from-a-hat-me-do. Trust me it's VERY simple. Go there now and you can win a Sonicy Piratey rucksack, tent, compass who's logo seems very similar to the one being used on the upcoming skin. Those crafty SEGA so and so's.

There's also a T-Shirt, so you can go around pretending to be the Sonic fan equivilent of Jimbo Jones. Only less yellow, obviously.

SOE also managed to do the seemingly impossible last night and managed to go back in time... to Aug 22nd. Yup, the finally "announced" Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity post provided us with no new info... then again we read it on the 22nd didn't we, when..... wait a minute.....

The Shadow Depository, which was what I was actually posting this message about all those hours ago when I started, has gained a new addition in the music section. The SONIC The Hedgehog vocal track collection Several Wills has been re-uploaded.

PS: Are you using the RSS feed? XD

Hair, Hippies and Hallelujah
Firstly we are sad at Sonic Wrecks to hear of any death within the community and it is at this time we would like to pay tribute to T-Bird's hair. His rock-mop will, within the next few tense hours, be put to the sword and sacrificed in the name of "progress" and cross-cultural "understanding". We would like to pay our deepest respects to Adam Tuff and give from us our best wishes at this time.

T-Bird has some eBay items up for sale that, if you are a collector of Sonic or Final Fantasy memorabeila might well interest you. View them here.

In other interesting news, hippy chicks think I am hot - or so a discussion with someone from the Abolish Slavery charity seemed to reveal. Apparently it looks as though I have baby soft skin, my beard is very striking, I am extremely funny and it seems my bod isn't that bad either. That and I am enough informed about the humanitarian disasters going on in the likes of Dafur that I was able to engage her in deep conversation in the matter.

Alas this extreme flattery, when she remembered she was trying to conduct some kind of financial deal for me to personally stop all child prostitution everywhere (or something) and not play with her dredlocks and look distinctly pink failed greatly when I gave her the news of my unemployment and subsequent lack of funds.

Still the admittedly attractive girl found excuse to talk to me for another five minutes of entertaining conversation after which I wished her well and went on my way to the gym for some PROPER cardio-vascular excitement - feeling somewhere between confused and smug.

Fear not you mountains of female AAUK admirers, for such a partnership was not to be for #1 I wasn't interested at all in her thank you VERY much and #2 her name was Chantelle and I refuse point blank to go out with anyone called Chantelle.... lol, SW Burberry skin?

In better news, I have heard from SEGA of Europe that I have been given the OK (sort of) to return to them and try and get the new (so-delayed-it's-out-of-date-atm) Sonic City website up in at least ENGLISH. I say 'sort of' mainly due to the fact that it is quote 99.99999999% okay unquote that I'll be indeed starting on 11th Sept again for three weeks so the next week is gonna be spent getting updates ready to dripfeed you for that period.

First up will be getting the Sonic ShipWrecks complete, up and ready for you to enjoy from Sept 14th. Also want to see if I can get a couple of the comics done for that period as well...

#211: Message In A Botnik
Busy busy busy!!!!

The next episode of Radio Redux is up, which features an awful lot of questions, discussions about the segmentation of sub-franchises in Sonic, the role of NiGHTS and the connection between Adam Tuff & Sigfried Schtauffen. Plus AAUK gets a letter from a certain former-former-former Sonic cover band.
