New Colouring Paper
I've been a bit rundown atm and there's not been much in the way of updates. As such and to keep things ticking over I've added a new update to the site. Juuuuust a little one. You can find the latest colouring paper - the fourth of Tails - in the relevant section under Misc in the Shadow Depository.

XBox Live fans can find me now on there under "Sonic Wrecks" handily enough. ;)

AAUK Completes Sonic The Hedgehog
This wouldn't normally be headline news I know, but I have (on my 360 mind) FINALLY completed Sonic The Hedgehog - as in the original game. No deaths as well for good measure. Not only that my score places me above a certain Mr D.Knux which I am sure will horrify him immensely! laughing

Maintainence: Updates, Fixes & E-On Lite News
Some little fixes to the index page, the radio archive show notes pages all had an incorrect link on their local header and I've done some updates to the Radio Redux archive so that its showing the correct RR artwork.

Apparently people are having lots of fun on E-On lite - those purple and green scallywags (are these the wives and girlfriends of "scallys"?) TRiPPY and DiGi have deemed it worth their while to join! Oh yes, if any senior forum member is interested in having their E-On custom rank image for their avatar please let me know on MSN and I'll send it to you!

Edit: As planned some time ago, NiGHTSintoDreams.com is now one of our splash page partners.

#053: Picture If You Will
Okay, so I'm not going to Uruguay. Maybe one day, who knows, no I'm not marrying Ram either. OR AM I?

Anyway we've a new comic out involving no sprites at all and was actually something I've been itching to do for a fair old while. I still need to do comic and show notes - here's an idea one of my staff can write the RR302 show notes! That'd save me the hassle.

You'll also be pleased to know the Forthcoming Projects have been extensively updated. At last.

PS: Anyone noticed TSS has started copying SW juuuust a little bit? First the changing names on the headers now the word filters idea as used in their April Fool joke. Hmm... curious.

Ding Dong Bells: My Secret Revealed
I am pleased to announce that I am moving to Uruguay to marry Ram. Our tempestuous relationship has been a big secret hanging over our heads and I'm pleased to finally divulge the truth as it wasn't doing me much good health wise with the stress tbh.

I'm now moving out there to have lots of babies, leaving SEGA behind in Europe - but, I'll be heading up a special SEGA post dealing with Brazilian company TecToy and starting up my own Community Team dealing with the guys in South America.

I suppose I'll have to rename myself ArchangelURG - which makes me sound like being sick. Oh well the sacrifices we do in the name of love. More details as they come.

About that Site..
As far as the mini contest is concerned for Sega Superstars Tennis, there's still no entry in yet for that grab bag, so get to playing!

But in other news, a lot of new pieces of information are crawling out from under the Sonic Unleashed rock. But TSS is doing a wonderful job of covering that so I do recommend following up on those stories as well.

On a more Wrecks note, since we've got a nice little cozy forum fire going (not actually on fire) I'm taking the opportunity to tell you guys about what's coming up next for the site.

Will there be more comics? Of course, but the creative walls of our master hand AAUK are still slowed to a once a month production. Which is unfortunate and I'm certain the lot of you share my opinion in that.

Our newest addition is the forum, yes, but now I'd like to turn our attention back to that trusty old depository of ours. We've got some ideas floating around and we'd like your imput. We're looking into things like, writing reviews for Sonic games new and old, but the question of the day is, will they really be worth the read? If you have any suggestions, think this is a good or bad idea, be sure to let one of us know!

On a more personal note, the last manga page was supposed to be uploaded by now... *turns into a bit of a were-hog herself* that'll be fixed..
But otherwise, I'm at a real painful decision right now, and I need your all's imput.

Should I continue with Tru to your Heart? Should I do another storyline?
Should I give up the goose on manga? I really would like to know. I know my closer friends are very very VERY supportive of it, but as a general census, what do YOU think?

All related emails should be pointed to my email adress [green_dragon 000 (at) hotmail (dot) com]
Thanks guys.

A Small SST Contest FYI
From the SOE blogs:

It's always nice when you get a surprise isn't it? Well with SEGA Superstars Tennis I got just that, because we don't just write blogs you know (no, really) we actually do a lot of promotional work and lots of other things that naturally enough go from the intensely frustrating to the most incredibly rewarding.

The surprise in question was that I at last appeared in the credits of a game! Yup, I'm listed down as "Community Manager" in the SEGA Europe section of the credits.

Anyway, as you can only see the credits if you complete a tournament and they disappear quickish I'd quite like some proof I'm there for bragging rights. So the first person to send - to blogs@sega-europe.com - me a really good quality screengrab of the credits showing my name clearly (I'm not down as ArchangelUK, obviously) will receive a nice little SEGA goodybag from me.

Deal? ;)

Sonic Community In Mass Sulk #325 "Shock"
For the love of Amy... guys will everyone just CHILL? I dunno what's going on at the moment but everyone seems to be having a mass crisis of either confidence in their status as a fan or in doing a website. For the record everywhere else may go to hell in a ring-basket but SW will be sticking around no matter what! (Famous last words...)

Anyway I'm back once again with the renegade master (no, not Echo :P) tho still have no phone line, internet or indeed computer set up. Frankly I've been "happier" with some people, but hey what do you expect. No, I will not comment on the Unleashed situation myself, I don't think we've been officially asked tbh everyone seems quite happy to go and angst/panic delete as appropriate.

So Sonic Wrecks not going anywhere and moving forward - while I'm not on it yet E-On Lite seems to be a bit of a success, TRiPPY is on there and SW favourite Ram The Dragon (not that TRiPPY isn't a SW favourite either!) and many others... That reminds me actually, the index page needs that broken image replaced by a shiny NiD.com one.

The Depository has been updated with some SEGA Superstars Tennis love. Nintendo Official Magazine's SST cover has been added as well as PS3 covers for Aus/NZ, Germany and the UK!

Sonic Unleashed... Accidentally.
Well it's almost the typical rounds for SEGA this time around.
One almost wonders if they leak this stuff on purpose. But in all honesty I say good on them, because the hype meter on the fans is high up at the moment.

For those who don't know:
SEGA has yet again been subject to a leak of information/media about an upcoming game. Whether by hackers or just some hawkeyed little online persons, we have quite a bit to take in this early on. Sonic Unleashed is a likely beta name for the time being, but still it seems to fittingly describe what exactly they're putting our favorite blue blur through.

There is lots of speculation as to what is a possible storyline, and though I'm partial to a good story, I'll be keeping my own inferences to myself. From my personal oppinion as an up and coming 3D modeling artist, the screenshots I've seen so far look fairly cozy, and visually comfortable. So if the controls are good and not too buggy, I think we're looking at another good game for SEGA.

No names, scenarios, new characters *twitch* or any very specific information has been released beyond some visuals. Again when I say released, I really mean unintensionally well 'unleashed'. A proper set of community events and press releases are scheduled for May of this year.

For the link to those sites, and place for your own imput. Why not head on over to our new little forum? =D

What you might expect. Okay, maybe not exactly...
Hi everybody!

Alright so AAUK has just handed me the keys to the place and have been told to make sure to leave it in a better state than I found it... *shrugs* In any case, on a more relevant note, AAUK has handed me a unique opportunity. So without much extra introduction, or bizarre jokes, I give you:

Entherial Online Lite, in your local soda isle... I mean forum tab.

Yep, that's right, Echo Hawk's on the ball for this one. I'll be operating as head honcho for the time being. No this isn't the final forum, but it's some place you all can come and share your thoughts, hang out with other Wrecks personel, and so on and so forth.

I look forward to having you all, so I'll see you there!

Movin' On Up, Movin' On Out... (No, Seriously)
Hey guys, I'm busy getting ready for part one of my move into my shiny new flat - so much for MY Easter break eh? Anyway just letting you know that until I get things sorted that updates might be a bit sporadic, I'll try and get things organised offline to upload at work - including RR302 and a special, if somewhat unusual "behind the scenes" comic.

I do though have some other business to sort out before I go, which comes in the form of a piece of housekeeping.

Owing to a pesky legal technicality and to avoid any subsequent confusions Sonic Wrecks will not be a recognised participant in any future competition or official promotional partnership with SEGA Europe Ltd or SEGA Enterprises. Though we will still be working with them in an unofficial capacity naturally enough. Any resultant competitions on the site will be run solely by the site operator i.e. my good self, for your benefit. So expect some groovy merch contests sometime in the future.

I'll leave Echo to keep you up to speed with any news during any resultant gap. wink

Many thanks to everyone who helped in the vote!
T-Bird and I would like to express our upmost thanks for your support in this vote. I know it's been all over the news (but if AAUK was going to be promising more updates I might have to knock some sense into him..)

In any case, reguardless of the outcome, I know so many of you helped us out! All that's left to do is keep your paws and claws crossed everybody!

On a side note..
You remember that odd little manga I started?
Well the last page (11) of the first chapter has been hansomely redubbed (for legibility) and will be going up next week, and I personally extend my thanks to our SW loyalist Blake Draco.

And standing in for AAUK, who is currently attending to some real life business off the net, I'd like to drop a little hint as to what you wrecksians might expect here in the near future.
Honestly that silly list AAUK keeps on the side here isn't getting any shorter, but I'll tell you what, something that we've been discussing for high priority work is E-On. That's all I can reveal for the time being, but those of you who are interested, your prayers to the ArchAngel may yet be answered. ^^

A Race to a Name - The Origins of Gravitus
Hello again Wreckslets!

The Sonic Chronicles - the Dark brotherhood - A Race to a Name competition is now in it's final week! As I begin the final push, I thought I'd tell you just how it was Echo Hawk and myself came to the name.

When we both finally got together to think up a name, we were scarily on the same wavelength. We wanted a name derived from Latin; after all, that is how animal species are named, and if the name was going to be used worldwide, we want it to have Universal meaning.

I mucked around with a few words - Motusus (Earthquake), Terranus (Earthly), Fortis (Strong), Loricatus (Armoured). I also had a play with the word "Anomaly" which became Anomalyx and then Anomalix, I quite liked this name, however I finally came to the word Gravatas.

Gravatas means "Heavy" in Latin, and boy, do these guys look like they weigh a tonne! I mucked around with the word until it finally evolved into Gravitus, which is closer to the word Gravity, used in the context of modern society as a force created by all objects with mass. It has the association with space, and as these creatures are supposed to be aliens, I thought this was most appropriate!

I hope you've enjoyed learning about the origins of Gravitus, and if you haven't been already, head to www.sonic-city.com and cast your vote now! Friday the 14th of March 2008 is the final date to vote - so go and tell your friends to vote too! It would be an ultra-cool victory for Wrecks if we got this, so go on, what are you waiting for! Get voting!

New Sonic Channel Stationary, Papercraft, Colouring Paper Added
I've updated the links with the new Sonic City bypass URL.

Right while I wait for various factors to play out in my life, I've been able to update the depository with a slew of Sonic Channel shizzle as well as updating several pages which required tweaking. As a result there are a variety of additions across the Depository. Notably, Lettercraft is now reclassified as "Stationary" and has several additions as does Papercraft and Colouring paper. I'm going to get to the wallpapers when I can and get those up to date as I know we're a bit behind.

Oh well, back to it.

Shadow In "Is Stoned" Shocker
No, no, he isn't really. Perhaps I should explain; back last year when Echo made a cameo appearance over in the UK we met up (just before an adventure involving her passport, a DDR machine and some gentlemen with uzis) with Blake Draco in a pub near.... somewhere.

During our time there we decided it would be fun if we both drew something for Blake, so I crafted the first ArchangelUK drawing for someone. Blake's just scanned it in, but he's actually gone and watermarked the web version as it "might well go up in value".

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j26/BlackDragonUK/MWrecksFest.jpg

I call mine "Shadow Inscruitable" while Echo calls hers "a quick sketch of Metal I did for Blake that time" Honestly, no originality that girl...

#301: The Wrecks Factor
I return! I'm told Sonic Online don't like our name, not 'The Gravitus' you understand, but Sonic Wrecks itself - clearly not getting our glorious pun. Oh well, vive la différence!

But YES main point of talk - RADIO REDUX SEASON 3 IS HERE, and with it comes the results of the Wrecks Factor. It contains an amazing free gift, a late entry to the contest that missed out (and would probably have won the contest hands down), two "fine" examples of me "singing" in "French", a new performance by T-Bird and a trio of judges one of which makes it his business to be mean.

No its not me.

The new show is up for download on iTunes and had the new album art which is also up to download in two formats, one with the archived year squiggle and one without, from the RR media section. You can also listen to the show right now via RRPlay.

Sonic City Vote! All hands on board for Gravitus!
All right ladies and gents!
It's your favorite wing commander here, and something very exciting is happening right now!

If you hadn't noticed our 'subtle' advertising we are in fact part of the great name race! Gravitus is what T-Bird and I in joint connection agreed upon for submission.

Frankly put, seeing the other names on the poll we're feeling great about what we came up with.

However,
A good name in a big important (and partially squishy) poll like this is only as good as how much it's supported! That means we need YOU!

Living in the (Sonic) City - Richard Jacques Interview
Yup! It's me again!
I still haven't managed to cut the rope that is tying me to computer at Wrecks HQ, so I guess until my beak is sharp enough, I shall continue to keep you all up to date!

For those of you who haven't been to the Sonic City blognik recently, there is now an interview up with the one, the only Mr. Richard Jacques of Sonic R and Sonic 3D Blast musical fame. He was handcuffed to a keyboard and bombarded with questions from the fan base about everything from working for SEGA, to the music that has inspired his work.
Check the interview out here!

There will hopefully be some BIG news going down later on today, so don't go anywhere!

Now back to chewing through rope...*nomnomnom*

Radio Redux #301: Wrecks Factor released Wednesday!
It's what you've all been waiting for...well...it's what I've been waiting for.
The results of this year's Wrecks factor will be announced in the first episode of the brand new season of Radio Redux. Will Ram the Dragon's entry have smashed the opposition to pieces? Will a Sonic Underground tune be crowned champion in the All-Comers competition thanks to Sonic Yoda?

Will Dreadknux be performing the DK rap again?

Myself, my producer and my backing singers will all be at the Awards ceremony, most likely getting very drunk, heckling Roareye Black and the Royal Shatner's table, and being unceremoniously asked to leave after making lewd comments about Rouge.

All the results will be revealed in Radio Redux #301, coming to your ear holes this Wednesday! Sit tight until then!

What's in a name? New Comic and Depository Update!
*RAWK* I mean, hello! It is I, the Bird with the word, and I come baring gifts...of a visual nature. For starters, Mr. AAUK has sent a rather large carrier Cluck with a BRAND NEW COMIC attached! Number 52 I believe, and it's called "Splitting the difference". Well, I'm sorry Mr. AAUK, but I'm going to be keeping all 26 pence of the postage costs for myself; I'm hungry and need to buy some sunflower seeds for the trip home.

If you head over to the depository you'll also find some lovely shiny new things there, including a new SEGA Superstars Tennis video for your viewing pleasure, as well as some delicious artwork.

There's also been some interesting goings-ons over at the Sonic City blognik...they have just announced the "Sonic Chronicles: A Race to a Name" competition, in which you Wreckslings will have an opportunity to cast your vote to name a new species of alien in the game that just about every Sonic fan is talking about these days. Voting will be between the 3rd and the 14th of March, with the winner announced on the 15th. I'd like to say more, but unfortunately if I did, Bird hunting season would be opened.

Sit tight kids - It's certainly an exciting time to be a Sonic fan!

Some People Are Never Satisfied Are They?
So people are whining about the opportunity to effect something within the game? Nice. Real classy. These are the same people who complain SEGA takes no notice of them.

Anyway, I've got just enough time to give you another new Depository update - just a small one. A PDF of the manual for Sonic Mega Collection has been added to the Manuals section.

Those Updates I Was Talking About...
Right I got some time to sort out those uploads I was on about the other day - the Cast section has been updated with the Eggman bio and relevant cast image.

Additionally there are three new collections of music, the page of which has been updated respectively to note the release of SRZG. These new collections are Sonic The Hedgehog (SatAM), Sonic Adventure: Remix - as in the defunct fan game soundtrack which I have saved from SCD related extinction and finally a new compilation called Sonic Adventure 2: Battlelines. The gist of which is its the SA2 Battle specific music and a demo of theme "Live & Learn".

Enjoy.

Massive Update... Tomorrow ^_^ (EDIT)
Yeah I know I've been slacking off, it's more due to it being the end of the fiscal year which means SEGA have games coming out of their ears and as a result my work is something akin to someone getting trodden on repeatedly by an elephant wearing a tuxedo.

Good news is that I've spotted some items that I've been meaning to do, including a couple of fixed - and I've actually done them. So going up tomorrow we've got a NEW cast bio and three new additions to the Music section. What are these? You'll find out tomorrow.

Also, verrrry soon there is to be a massive MASSIVE announcement that will affect each and every one of you. I can't tell you about it right now, only to say that when you find out what it is you'll be rather happy with me and if it doesn't solidify me in Sonic The Hedgehog legend with you lot nothing will.

Yup - it's that big.

EDIT: Also - FANTASTIC news from NiD.com

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!

Right, i'm at college right now using the computers here, hence why i'm online. I'm not supposed to be here so i better just drop this message quickly and duck out again.

Right - we now have our own place. A nice little flat/apartment in the same area we were currently living in, which is good. We went almost a week without having a place to live and things were real f*!*ing tough but we pretty much got that ideal home that i told Jof about. Good times, man. Good times. Our place is pimp! XD

Only problem is, we have no net access right now since our stuff is being moved between properties. We should have net access from our new home within the next week or two. We have a LOT to tell you guys.

Shout out to Salem who keeps calling at the times of day where nobody is at a phone, lol XD. Shout out to Jof for updating you all and dropping me a text message. Shout out to Purg for calling me even though i wasn't able to answer, sorry bruv.

And a massive thank you to all you guys for putting words of support. You guys are all lovely..

Right, i have to go.
When we come back, more of the usual craziness from me and the wifey. Until then, keep things bless and take care.

In Good News, I'm Back To Work Tomorrow
Thanks to those of you who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday - for reasons that will be made clear in time sadly that was very much not the case.

Anyway - I'll try and get you a proper update soon. I just really wanted to say thank you to those who wished me well.

The Nearly-A-Quarter-Of-A-Century Update
It's my birthday tomorrow. Yeah. I'm not exactly celebrating it much, in fact I had to be reminded it was coming up which only proves I'm getting olllld.

Anywho, by way of a much needed Depository update I've added some high quality Sonic Battle Art to the images section, Mario & Sonic advert image and super high quality announcement image. Two gameplay videos have been added to Sonic & The Secret Rings demonstrating Time Break and Speed Break in Sand Ocean whilst the ending video has also been added.

You can also check out my interview with Bentley Jones on Sonic City here: http://www.sonic-city.com/en/articles/1816.html

That do you guys for now? :)

Sonic Wrecks Attracts Celebrities
Actually its more Radio Redux, but it sounds better. A certain celebrity pal of mine has been listening to the most recent podcast and has made comment on liking a certain track.

Who has gained some musical love? You'll have to find out whenever it is I get the time to do #301.

Introducing: All New RRPlay and Sonic Style Update
Hi guys, I've got a bit of a surprise for you. If you look on the left underneath the RSS feed buttons you'll see a new button for something called RRPlay. Click it and you'll find a pop-up appears which will allow you to stream Radio Redux shows to your PC (NaN% = it's loading up).

It looks nothing like the one used on Sonic City. Honest.

At the moment you can only get the last 5 Radio Redux shows as they are in stream friendly format. In time I will add more shows to the player.

With regard to Sonic Style it seems Startlogic have backed down before I can get on my emails tomorrow and give them a piece of my mind. Sonic Style is therefore back online.

Warning! Startlogic at work!
Seems they're up to their old tricks again.... luckily not with me this time but with Sonic Style. They have been suspended until they get rid of their "copyrighted material" i.e. MP3s, etc...

Hopefully I'll be able to intervene under my SEGA branded hat, esp as Style are one of the biggest Sonic websites in the US.

There is a chance of course that Startlogic start going all crazy again and mess SW about. Stay tuned.

JUST A REMINDER: SONIC WRECKS IS A COMMUNITY PARTNER OF SEGA.

Good Luck To My Friends...
I hear the door has been closed behind TRiPPY and DiGi and they are now in effect homeless which sucks all kinds of ass naturally enough. I wish them a speedy wagepacket, accomodation and internet connection so we can hear from them again. As such I suppose it'll be up to me on the SEGA blogs, and quite possibly here on Sonic Wrecks to take up the NiGHTS news slack in their absense.

Incidentally those of you following my EDiNBURGH: Journey To Dreamers story on the SEGA main blog will be pleased that my third installment is in for review and will most likely materialise soon.

In other news. Chronicles rocks. That is all.

Lots of Updates
Er... lots! But I can't remember all of them, I know for instance that for some reason Sonic Triple Trouble was missing track 31 from the listings and that's been added. I'm also aware that I uploaded the NiGHTS: Another Dreams remix CD and you grab that now as well as a load of packshots for Mario & Sonic. I'm certain there are at least two more games that have been updated in the images section and the Radio Redux archive page as well as the Statpod have been updated.

There is more, I just can't recall what....

Exhausted: Working 7 Days A Week Is Not Fun
Hi guys, been a bit busy what with work which is really getting in the way of the community stuff. That and I've recently been to a funeral which isn't a traditionally good way of having a swell time. This was combined my two white shirts, Man Utd shirt, England shirt and best going out shirt apparently being ruined by seepage through the walls of moisture and gunk from the flu following a mass downpour.

SEGA is a hard place kids, especially when you've got games coming out - gee lemmie see I'm working on NiGHTS still and getting content up for that. As well as SEGA Superstars Tennis which I'm getting increasingly angry about - not the game, I've been playing dev code this weekend and like it a fair bit. Mario & Sonic DS, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, I'm planning stuff for Chronicles (oh boy have I got something for you guys!!!!!) have work to do for Iron Man and Hulk and thats not counting translations, emails in and out, dealing with questions, sorting out post, writing blogs, organising community days, seeding items, Sonic City and the organising of god knows how many updates for that before I even get to Sonic Wrecks.

I'm so overstretched at the moment I working all hours just to maintain the status quo of being slightly behind. I know my mum is worried that its starting to have a bit of an effect on me with the stress and I'm starting to see her point. Roll on when I get my assistant!

Anyway, I have a chance to breathe this weekend... not much as I'm making notes on SST so I have content to actually talk about. Which reminds me I need to email Richard Jacques about something. Sigh.

What I have done so far today is tried to get up to speed with community issues, etc, I'll even be able to go into my SW email tomorrow I hope and do some bits. I have an update of things ready for the Depository and I'll try and get a new CD sorted so I can upload that as well - the current favourite being the NiGHTS: Another Dreams remix album.

What you might want to do is check out the SEGA Blogs - the actual SEGA one, not the Blognik - as I'm half way through my series of blogs talking about my trip to see the NiGHTS guys in Edinburgh. Speaking of, you have until tonight to vote in the Wrecks Factor poll, I'm not gonna unfreeze said polls, but I will be giving T&D one more vote as they were above Vi after all.

Oh yes - while I'm on the subject of singing I've not long completed two songs for Rory's Valentines Day album, naturally these are as romantic as a kick in the head with size 12 steel toe-capped army boots but they are as entertaining as heck and perhaps the first songs I've done that I don't feel embarassed by.

How are they so funny? They're in French.

Or rather Babelfish translated English, so you can look forward to a special version of "Mon Destin" and "L'E.G.G.M.A.N" in le langue de l'amour. That's me out for now - I'm off to play SEGA Superstars Tennis and eat some crisps.

Oh and PS - to the guy who on the No More Blue survey said of Sonic Wrecks "When will people realise sprite comics are shit?" When will you realise that myself, Vger and all those others who make sprite comics and are entertained by them don't give a shit about your opinion?

I Needs More Game Music
Right I've bitten the bullet, I've gone and ordered the Billy Hatcher CD as I cannot wait any more for the slim chance of finding it. I've also ordered True Blue and the NiGHTS: JoD soundtrack as they are my games after all, so I need to listen to the musics.

Updates soon, hope you liked the comic.

051: A Dish Best Served Cold
After all the unplesantness yesterday a refreshing change - a new comic! Yes and it has NO speech in it whatsoever; how is such a feat accomplished? You'll have to check out the comic to find out I suppose...

Also, I just noticed I have my own group on the NiGHTS Into Dreams forum as I am "SEGA" - which is pretty groovy. :) What I need now is an image of Angelus wearing a NiGHTS jester hat with a somewhat disenchanted expression for my avatar there - any volunteers to make one for me?

Okay, that is ENOUGH...
Jeez guys, now I'm all for people being supportive but mass multiple block voting is out of line. Honestly I come in here fresh off an uber-groovy trip to Scotland for NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams and I find this waiting for me. I'm also rather angry at suggestions from some that TRiPPY's entry should not be in the competition because it "isn't kareoke" and "should be removed" - what a load of grade A, grapefruit-sized bollocks.

Now, in light of this I've decided the best way to sort things out is to piss EVERYONE off - not just one party. So as of now votes for Violet and TRiPPY are set back to 90 and frozen. T-Bird's total is also rewound to 25.

Voting continues until next Saturday, a week today in other words. You can vote for anyone else apart from these two entries - I'll unfreeze them should anyone get remotely close to them. My apologies to Vi, TRiPPY and Digi but even they know it was getting stupid.

Honestly, I've got a hard week's slog ahead of me including what promises to be a very messy funeral and I do not need you lot cocking about and causing rauctions amongst yourselves. Consider yourself rapped across the knuckles with a SEGA branded ruler.

Comic tomorrow all being well. M'kay? :P

Och Aye The Noo
Keep voting on the Wrecks Factor, I'm off to the land of haggis and kilts tomorrow by air which will be the first time for me on a plane in a looong time. Anyway I'm off to show NiGHTS: JoD to TRiPPY and DiGi and basically do lots of things to help the NiGHTS fanbase along.

I'll be appearing on their podcast too, so be sure to check that out when it appears.

In other news I've been able to get in early with requests for Chronicles stuff so hopefully BioWare will be nice and help us out. If I get half the things I've asked for you lot will be very happy - does anyone take any notice of these messages in the community btw???

Oh yes, apparently the emails are now working again! laughing

Wrecks Factor Vote OPEN, Sonic Chronicles, Artwork Winner, More...
It seems Nintendo Power have gained special access with an exclusive reveal of the title of Sonic RPG - Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. I'll have to find out more about this as it was news to me that such reveals were going to be made... hmmph.

The Wrecks Factor vote is now (belatedly) open, feel free to vote for your favourite All Star - your votes count.

In terrifying news I've bought a 360 Elite - Sonic 06 is as bad as I feared and Ram finally got her Yuji Naka signed Shadow the Hedgehog artwork through the post yesterday. I'm promised some form of photo evidence I'll put up here should I get this.

PS: Please be aware I'm in Scotland for Thurs-Fri next week and yes a new comic IS underway...

Wednesday: MORE Videos (Just Call Me Snake)
More videos? Yup more videos. I've really nailed this updating thing at the moment haven't I? It's gong back to the SW of mid-2007 when there was an update every day and todays one is a cracker.

In the Video section of the Shadow Depository you'll now find four more Super Smash Bros. Brawl videos including two AUX call clips from Solid "I'm Not Pliskin, Honest" Snake discussing Samus (seems Snake wants in on that little piece of action laughing) and Wario as well as his introductory video discussing Mario.

Another cutscene from the Worlds Collide single player story has also been added, this one featuring Fox and Diddy and something that looks like a plant version of MetalSeadramon. (That's a Digimon reference for AAUK veteran fans.)

There's also a japanese advert for Sonic Rush as well as Europe's "Trailer #2" from the same game and the E3 video of Sonic Adventure 2.

Nicely.

Videos - Brawl For All
As part of my reorganisation of various things to do with SW (I know there's not been a comic for a while, sorry, sorry!) updates should be a lot easier now. As such please now find four more videos for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, totalling over 50Mb worth of updates.

Friday Update: Missing Media, NiGHTS 2, Sonic 06, Wrecks Factor Album
Speaking with some of our Sonic fan brood yesterday I was surprised when Dreadknux and Sonic Yoda said that the Wrecks Factor album wasn't out yet. "EH?" I said, obviously confused but no links were appearing apparently. I was even more surprised when I investigated this morning to find yesterdays updates weren't there on the FTP.

It turns out for reasons I don't know, while the DNS has changed the FTP hasn't and I've been uploading to the now defunct server based SW. Bugger.

So, here's what I've got for you today- all the stuff that should have appeared yesterday I've now re-uploaded. You've also got the PEGI (France/UK) packshot of NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams, Last Story video #8 "Embers Of Solaris" from Sonic 06 AND the Wrecks Factor album complete with all the links.

These should now ALL appear... Unfortuately the Wrecks Factor album cover doesn't seem to be uploaded. I'll have to sort that this evening. wink

Depository: New Videos
Two new videos have been added to the Shadow Depository with immediate effect, one is the Mario and Sonic Community/Bloggers Day video that was created by Maverick and features myself in a cameo. It also features such notables as Roareye Black and T-Bird in speaking roles. The second is a video from the Last Story of Sonic 06 - #7 in the series - showing the destruction of Mephilies.

Migration: SW Has Gone South For The Winter
If you can see this message it means the update has worked and the DNS is now pointing at the new server. What this essentially means is that we've got a much better backend system in place, one that hopefully won't log me out any time I try and do anything of use EVER.

I'll see about getting the email addresses back soon, though apparently they should be working again now. Well, we'll see. I'm working on bringing up to date the Depository with a lot of Sonic Channel stuff, that (and I'll let you into a little secret here) I'm also in the process of designing a series of monthly additions a'la Sonic Channel for Sonic City.

Happy new year one and all! Here's to a Sonic-rific 2008.
