A twenty-something from the south of England, ArchangelUK started Sonic Wrecks back in 2004 as a response to what he perceived as the poor quality of sprite comics on the web, specifically Sonic based. Since that time, Sonic Wrecks has grown to become one of (if not) the leading Sonic sprite comic on the net, but has moved SW into a leading position in the Sonic community as apparent de-facto leader of the ‘Generation 3.0′ Sonic websites.

ArchangelUK (known also as AAUK) is also responsible for Radio Redux – the first Sonic themed podcast on the internet, the design and implementation of the site and is also an advisor and Online Community Manager dealing with Sonic for SEGA Europe. YES. He works for SEGA.

Since he’s now at SEGA he’s obnoxiously busy most of the time, but still manages to churn out the updates on SW with the aid of his trusty lieutenants – and hey, sleep isn’t THAT important right?

In 2008 and 2009 he masterminded the Summer of Sonic with Dreadknux and worked himself to severe illness. He looks forward to repeating it this year.

In fact 99% of all the cool community stuff and competitions to do with Sonic is as a direct result of his work. Who knows it might even garner him a place on the Sonic Retro wiki sometime.

He also once caught a fish ‘this big’.

Echo Hawk was the very first Sonic Wrecks SuperFan and in the best traditions of the “worst kept secret ever” became a “close personal friend” of AAUK. Originally hailing from the fields of Kentucky, USA; Echo Hawk is Sonic Wrecks’ official Northern Hempisphere fanartist.

For her loyalty she was rewarded with many wonderful gifts, the greatest (apart from speed of the puma and strength of the bear) being a character based on her avatar added to SW.

Indeed ‘Hawk’ (originally portrayed as a bird) played a major role in the Ragnarok storyline that lead to the destruction of the v4.0 Sonic Wrecks site at the end of 2006.

Echo Hawk has had many roles on SW over the years ranging from artist to moderator bu ther greatest and most challenging role is keeping AAUK sane… A job which sometimes is harder than you might think

After a long protracted process, Echo Hawk emigrated to the UK in 2009 and now lives with AAUK. Sorry ladies.

Joint head forum honcho, Blake Draco is a valued and loyal Wreckser and has never shirked from taking one for the team. The “one” usually being having to do the Radio Redux show notes so AAUK doesn’t have to listen to his own voice for an hour plus.

Blake is known to be a stickler for rules and regulations and once nearly beat a tramp to death with a rolled up newspaper for not offering him a copy of The Big Issue within the allotted 3 seconds of being in plain sight.

Not only that he was the first Frenchman to surf across the Antarctic, the second Belgian to traverse the Congo and is believed to be vice-president of Peru. Not bad for someone who has done none of the last two paragraphs.  He does though has his own kittie army of the damned.

The cute Uruguayan with 1001 voices, Ram The Dragon found her way into Sonic Wrecks one day and never left. We believe this is because she’s actually part limpit on her father’s side. In any case Ram has proven a most loyal Wreckser over the years and late 2008 was promoted to an actual staff member becoming in charge of creative forum matters and generally being given a pair of big boots to stomp around in and on those who don’t abide by E-On’s rules.

In other news she once sailed around the world in a seive, crossed the arctic with only a bevel sandwich toaster for company, once flashed the entirety of Luxembourg and has strange moon-based magical powers enabing her to bend black dragons to her will.

Or something to that effect….
