The latest Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Dev Diary has gone online, featuring everybody’s favourite person called S0L, er, S0L!

The blog goes into detail about the SUMO offices in Sheffield and some of the details of what goes on in the game – including that bikes actually have a special hidden boost capability! All of a sudden Shadow, Ryo and Big are looking much better prospects as characters, eh?

Last night it further came to my attention that the Americans subscribed to SEGA’s SEGA Pass system received an email about SEGA of America’s sweepstakes which confirmed the existance of a Ryo Hazuki figure.

What Ryo Hazuki figure? Why that’ll be this Ryo Hazuki figure:

Now SOA will today no doubt be regaling you with further details about the sweepstakes today, (they were off yesterday for President’s Day) which are available for the USA and Canada only – minus Puerto Rico and Quebec (sorry Red Hedgehog)!

However for everyone else who is currently muttering unsavory things, they are very limited indeed. The run is only 1000 globally. Don’t believe me? Check the back of the box!

There will be opportunities for non-Americans/Canadians to win one of the 50 Ryo Hazuki figures that after much effort I’ve managed to secure for Community Team purposes in Europe. You’ll have to wait to see how you win them though.

That’s right the demo for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing has hit the Marketplace!

The demo which allows you to play as Sonic or Banjo across a selection of tracks is available now, please be aware its a hefty chunk at 1GB but nevertheless its your first chance to grab a hold of the game and play it – unless you came to Summer of Sonic 2009 of course! It’ll definitely be your first time to see ’someone who isn’t forgotten’ in action.

Don’t worry there’ll be more opportunities to play test the game coming soon, we’ll let you know more about those when we can.

But that’s not all! There’s a brand new theme on the 360 as well for you to download at 240 points and because no one EVER seems to actually show what the DLC looks like when they say its out now I’ve arranged for these images so you can see exactly what the dashboard looks like. Handy huh? Images after the break!
